Bundoran Vintage Car Show to help four local causes – Donegal Daily
The popular vintage and classic car show hosted by the Donegal Vintage & Classic Car Club will return to Bundoran on Sunday 17th July with a large number of vehicles expected that day.
The show, which is supported by Discover Bundoran and hasn’t taken place since 2019 due to Covid, is a staple on the calendar for vintage car enthusiasts with cars expected from across the country on the day.
Show organizer Donal McGettigan can’t wait to see the West End parking lot in Bundoran filled to the brim with classic cars.
He said: “We are already seeing a lot of interest in our show this year from our own members in Donegal and enthusiasts across Ireland. We advise anyone wishing to secure a place in the main event area of the West End Car Park to arrive early to ensure their place. We will be accepting cars (pre 1992) from 10am the same day and expect the parking lot to fill up quickly.”
Daytime admission for adults is €5 and for a family €10, with all proceeds from the day being shared among local community groups – Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat, Ozanam House, Bundoran Tidy Towns and Little Blue Heroes.
Donal adds: “Over the years we have donated thousands of euros to local groups and we want this year to be no different. As usual, the money will stay in the region. I would also like to thank everyone who helps organize the show as well as Peter and the team at Allingham Arms for hosting our overflow.
The show will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday July 17 at the West End Car Park. More details can be found at www.discoverbundoran.com/carshow
