Mercedes-Benz has opened order books for its all-electric EQS, with prices starting at £ 99,995.

The flagship 333 hp premium electric vehicle has a range of up to 453 miles (WLTP) powered by its 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.

It is also the first Mercedes model to use the brand’s new modular platform architecture designed specifically for large luxury and executive class electric vehicles.

The new model also features the new MBUX hyper-display with multiple displays that merge under a single piece of glass to create a curved display over 141 centimeters wide.

The MBUX hyper-display is available on AMG Line Premium EQS and above models; priced at an additional £ 7,995.

The 107.8kWh battery has an on-board 200kW DC charger, allowing it to charge 10-80% in 31 minutes. That’s enough to deliver an additional 186 miles of range in 15 minutes.

The EQS 450+ AMG Line models are fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard; AMG Line body elements in high-gloss black and chrome; Rear axle steering 4.5 degrees; panoramic sunroof; full leather upholstery; heated front and rear seats; a flat-bottom sports steering wheel in nappa leather; 12.3-inch driver display; MBUX multimedia system with 12.8 inch OLED central display; MBUX Driving Assistance and Enhanced Navigation Pack.

AMG Line Premium adds 21-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels; Digital light with light strip; indoor active ambient lighting; acoustic privacy glass; a 360 degree camera; Driving Assistance Plus; and a Burmester® surround sound system. AMG Line Premium models are available for an additional £ 7,000 over the AMG Line trim.

Costing £ 7,000 more than AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus offers a head-up display; remote parking functionality; and the MBUX interior assistant with gesture control.

The EQS 450+ Luxury models feature equipment levels equivalent to the AMG Line Premium trim, but replace the sporty accent with more classic styling.

This includes all new Microcloud Artico coatings combined with ship deck timber; comfort seats with comfort headrests and heated steering wheel; and 22 inch alloy wheels. The EQS 450+ Luxury trim is price-aligned with the AMG Line Premium trim, costing £ 7,000 more than AMG Line cars.

Exclusive luxury trim adds multi-contour massage seats with temperature control; an air balance package; and nappa leather upholstery. Exclusive luxury costs an additional £ 7,000 compared to luxury vehicles.

The optional Rear Luxury Lounge package is also available on the Exclusive Luxury model range.

Costing £ 3,995, it includes power rear seats with massage functions; comfort rear armrest with wireless charging for Android smartphone and tablet; air conditioning for the rear seats; Mercedes interior assistant; additional USB ports and adaptive interior lighting.

All EQS models come with a three-year Mercedes me Charge subscription, providing access to vehicle charging from public charging providers, with one account.

This also includes a one-year IONITY subscription with free fast recharge.
