New Year’s Vintage Car and Motorbike Gathering Returns to Milton Keynes Town

Vintage Stony is back – with an informal gathering in the heart of historic Stony Stratford scheduled for Saturday January 1, 2022.

Coronavirus prevented the event from happening last year, but organizers are hopeful that all systems will be in place for the 12th “Vintage Stony” of the New Year.

The marketplace will be open to “vintage” pre-war vehicles and all motorcycles. High Street and Cofferidge Close are open to classics and everything in between after 1941, all from 9:30 am. As usual, a breakfast and a hot drink will be offered to the first 100 drivers of vintage cars (pre-war), riders and a passenger. (kindly sponsored by The Crown Inn)

The famous “One Minute’s Noise” will take place at 12 noon to welcome the New Year (Place du Marché only) with the awards ceremony – Pre-War only at 12:30 pm.

A spokesperson said: “If you’ve been there before you know what to expect, if you thought you could do it but never quite did, now is your perfect opportunity. .

“A warm welcome awaits you at all of our establishments, they have opened especially for the event. (Please check our website closer to the date for a list who is open and where, so you can plan your day).

“For those of you who have never been to ‘Vintage Stony’ before, no reservations are required. Just show up the same day and let our volunteer marshals guide you to a parking spot. C t is free for everyone, but we do accept donations, all of which will go to our local hospice in Willen.

As in previous years, drivers / owners will be required to complete a simple vehicle information card for the windshield and a registration card to hand in to the information tent in the marketplace. This is essential for those who wish to be entered for the ‘Furthest Driven to the Show’ vintage award, or if you wish to be kept up to date with semi-annual events.
