Owned by Lee Cave, Cambridge Vintage Tours takes you around the city in a unique 1910 Model T Ford replica.
The car, named Huxley, is one of a kind and is fully electric, which means it is more environmentally friendly.
Here at Cambridgeshire Live we wanted to know what the tour was all about, so we booked one and our reporter Hope visited for the day. Here’s what she thought:
I was picked up by Lee and Huxley at the agreed location on time.
He did not miss my turn. Not only does the car stand out with its unique appearance, it also has a very distinctive horn that I have heard on the road.
Watching it roll towards me, I knew I was going to have a fun experience.
I was greeted by Lee, my guide and driver, who told me everything to expect.
Lee was dressed in his waistcoat and top hat – it gave the experience a truly authentic feel.
He also explained how the car is disinfected after each use and provided me with hand sanitizer.
After our introduction, we were ready to go and drove off honking our horns as we left.

Almost as soon as we left we started to see some important historical buildings.
Lee’s knowledge was amazing. You could really tell he knew what he was talking about.
I learned facts about Cambridge that I had never known before.
We passed many Cambridge must-see sites such as King’s College, the Round Church, and the Math Bridge.
There was so much to see and Lee was a source of knowledge when it came to answering my questions.
Something I really liked is that Lee didn’t bombard me with information. He told me some interesting facts about each of the sites, information that I will probably remember rather than nod and accept but forget later.
I’ve been on tours where you get so much information that it’s a bit overwhelming.
However, Lee’s facts were the perfect level of detail, and if I wanted to know more, I would just ask and he always knew the answer.

The star of the show
Seeing the sites across Cambridge was amazing, and it was much more comfortable to do in Huxley than on foot.
While the views are stunning, it was Lee himself who stole the show.
Not only did he have fantastic knowledge, but he had such an amazing personality to go with it.
He was chatty, friendly and very knowledgeable.
However, what really impressed me was his passion for what he did.
It was immediately clear that Lee loved driving Huxley and that he was also very excited to show people around his town.
There wasn’t a single moment on my tour that I wasn’t fully engaged with Lee and what he was telling me.
My visit was educational but also really a lot of fun.
Lee told me before leaving to expect to be in some people’s photos, and he wasn’t wrong.
The reactions Huxley got as we walked through Cambridge were brilliant.
So many people stopped to take pictures or waved their hands when Lee honked the horn.

The attention made me feel like I was really special – although I know everyone was looking at the car and not me, it was really good!
Lee and Huxley brought so much joy to the people we passed, there were so many smiles and one person even stopped us to find out how they could book.
It is clear that the tours are very popular with the locals.
I really enjoyed my tour with Cambridge Vintage Tours.
The car (Huxley) was so original, it was such a special experience to be driven in it.
Lee was amazing and was perfect in his role as a driver and tour guide.
It was a truly unique experience and a way to see the city like never before.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to do something a little special in Cambridge whether you live there or not, it is a great option for a day out.
Lee offers two tours, one 25 minutes from the city center, starting at £ 35 for two.
