The Bundoran Vintage Car Show is expected to draw crowds today

The warm weather is expected to draw crowds to the popular vintage and classic car show hosted by the Donegal Vintage & Classic Car Club in Bundoran today, Sunday July 17, with large numbers of vehicles also expected that day.

Show organizer Donal McGettigan expects the West End car park in Bundoran to be filled to the brim with classic cars:

He said: “We are already seeing a lot of interest in our show for this year from our own members in Donegal and enthusiasts across Ireland. We would advise anyone wishing to secure a place in the main area of the event in the West End Car Park to arrive early to ensure their place.

“We will be accepting (pre-1992) cars from 10am the same day and expect the car park to fill up quickly.”

Daytime admission for adults is €5 and for a family €10, with all proceeds from the day being split between 4 local community groups – Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat, Ozanam House, Bundoran Tidy Towns and Little Blue Heroes.

Donald added:

“Over the years we have donated thousands of euros to local groups and we want this year to be no different. As usual the money will stay in the region. I would also like to thank everyone who help run the show, like Peter and the team at the Allingham Arms for hosting our overflow.”

The show, which is backed by Discover Bundoran has not taken place since 2019 due to Covid restrictions in 2020/21, is a staple on the calendar for vintage car enthusiasts with cars expected from across the country on this day- the.

The show will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the West End Car Park.
