The classic car show with 150 incredible vehicles at the museum near Surrey

Over 150 classic cars built before 1956 will be on display near Surrey at an annual classic car show. It will take place at the Amberley Museum, which is on the outskirts of Arundel and about 40 minutes from our county, so we have put together the details for this year’s event.

The Vintage Car Show will take place on Sunday 3rd April and will offer vintage car enthusiasts the rare opportunity to view luxury, sporty and everyday cars of the past. The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so you can check out the cars for hours if you want.

The event is known to classic car enthusiasts as the Cobweb Run – and it’s one of the premier historic car gatherings of the year. This means that it is one of the first chances to see the new restorations. You will also have the opportunity to buy collectibles from the autojumble stalls.

A pioneering 1899 Benz will be the oldest car to feature. Worthing owner Gordon Cobbold has restored many truly veteran motor cars and will also be showcasing his 1924 Austin ‘Heavy 12’ saloon. The impressive vintage car still bears its original paintwork. Several of Morgan’s famous three-wheeled sports cars dating from 1922 to 1938, as well as a wide range of their contemporary competitors such as MG, Riley, Jaguar and Sunbeam will also be available.

All attendees to the event will drive their cars to the show, and just as they leave around 4 p.m. there will be a commentary on the role they have played in automotive history. Visitors to the vintage car show can also enjoy the Amberley Museum and see its exhibits on the history of labor and industry, transport and industrial railways. Tickets can be reserved on the Amberley Museum website.
